Ocean Acidification Monitoring

The University of Georgia oversees an ocean acidification monitoring station moored offshore Georgia at the Gray’s Reef National Marine Sanctuary. The station has carbon dioxide sensors, pH and water quality sondes monitoring the surface water at the sanctuary. In addition, UGA has an observatory mounted on the seafloor near the buoy. This station houses pCO2, pH and water quality sensors to monitor conditions for the benthic community.
